Oh, fantastic! I decided that I love it so much it was worth using my Borders coupon for yesterday. Restored, on DVD, for $7? That cannot be wrong.
The crowd was a real mixed-bag. Some were pretty serious and into the movie, some were there with the notion that it was 100% silly and camp, and some were in between. The camp crowd laughed at inappropriate moments and, frankly, maybe didn't get to see what an awesome movie it is, although they probably enjoyed things in their own way. They sorta dragged the in-betweens with them, though, and disrupted stuff for those of us who were serious.
You know the end, of course--I hope--? I'll just say that when the end came, those last three or four minutes of the film, even the razzers in the crowd STFU and had some respect. Me, seriously, okay, I was bawlin'.
