Now celebrating its 40th anniversary, this star-studded Western about Bolivia-bound career train robbers Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid earned four Oscars. Ranked by the American Film Institute as the #73 greatest movie of all time and the #7 greatest film in the "Western" genre, Newman and Redford shine in their portrayal of the life and times of some of the Old West’s most notorious desperados.

Infidelity suspicions lead an otherwise happy high society New York couple to begin divorce proceedings and start pursuing other relationships. Not thrilling, but not too bad.

Wow. Wish I lived in OH.

They actually have something similar here in CA at the Stanford Theatre. I saw 'Pillow Talk' there with a crowded house. It was so surreal watching a film that I'd seen a million times with a bunch of people, some who may have never seen the film before. Listening to their reactions to things and the audience being genuinely surprised at what I'd taken for granted after watching it so many times was a real treat.

Yeah! It's really cool. I'm surprised that there's not actually more of that in California; you'd think Ohio would be the last place to have a long-running classic movies series.

I got to watch "She Done Him Wrong" during the series a few years ago and from the sound of it, people were shocked and delighted by Mae's antics. And during one screening of "Animal Crackers," the audience spontaneously applauded after Harpo's solo. *beams*

There might be more, but I haven't been actively looking. The only reason why I know about the Standford Theatre is because every summer they mail their schedule to me. :] I'm sure there are tons out in L.A. Unfortunately I don't live on the good side of California. L.A. is like 6 hours away.

I hope they show some Mae West films here, I would love to see the audience's eyes pop out of their heads. lol

I'm really happy I live in Seattle. I've never lived anywhere before with at least 4 year-round repertory theaters playing all sorts of indie/foreign/classic films. But this series sounds like fun!

I've heard great things about Seattle's movie scene!

The Wexner Center for the Arts, here in town, shows a bunch of cool stuff throughout the year--nothing like a proper classic movie series ongoing, though.
